Six Teams to Compete for the Boston Invitational Team Championship on Oct 26-27.

Tournament schedule  is on Saturday October 26th from 9 am to 9 pm, and on Sunday October 27th from 9 am to 4.30 pm. During this time, two courts shall be available for members and guests to play.  All courts will be open to members and guests on Sun, Oct 27 from 4:30-7:30 pm.
Top players from Massachussetts and the University of Laval in Quebec, Canada will see action in the Boston Invitational Team Tournament. This elite Event, organized by the Boston Open Badminton Team,  is open to the public to view for FREE.  The Teams are: Read more »

MASSBAD SETS SCHEDULE OF 2014 HIGH SCHOOL TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS ON MAR 2

After a successful 2013 season that saw teams from nine high schools (Marblehead, Newton North, Newton South, Sharon, Amherst, Wellesley, Westford, Acton-Boxborough and AMSA) compete, Massbad is looking forward to a wider participation from various Massachusetts High School in 2014.  The 2014 MassBad High School Team Championships is scheduled for March 2 at Boston Badminton. SCRIMMAGE CHAMPIONS: Maugus Machos wins Division A/B, Team Tom wins Division B/C

Maugus Machos, led by Nancy Miller and coached by Kirill Boyarin beat all other teams to win the Division A/B Championship of the 2013 New England Team Scrimmage. New Mount came in second in the five team scrimmage. Read more »

Ten teams take the SCRIMMAGE CHALLENGE!

 CLUB IS OPEN TO MEMBERS AND GUESTS STARTING 5 PM ON SAT, SEPT 21 AND 1 PM (3 courts until 5 pm when all courts open up) ON SUN, SEPT 22
In team sports, SCRIMMAGE is a practice game or an informal sports contest that does not count on a team’s record.  That’s exactly what the ten teams are coming together for- enjoying some fun badminton matches.  Five Division A/B teams will scrimmage from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and five Division C/D teams on Sunday at the same time.  The teams and their captains are:

NEWS FLASH! 2014 ADULT NATIONALS TO BE IN BOSTON

USA Badminton has awarded the right to host next year’s Adult Nationals competition to the Massachusetts Badminton Assn (MassBad).  It will be held at the Boston Badminton Club on the last weekend in March, March 28-30.  Read more »
