Players Prepare for Busy Fall Tournament Schedule

The busy fall tournament schedule in the Northeast has kept many adults and juniors actively training through the summer.  In Boston Badminton,  Head Coach Andy Chong and Coach Pashupati Paneru team up to offer Summer Camps and Tue night adult training  through Aug 24.  The Regular Program will start on Aug 28.

Five MA Juniors Head for Edmonton, Canada to Compete in the Pan American Junior Badminton Championships

Team Event on July 22-24,  Individual Event on Jul 25-29
After successfully qualifying to represent the US  during the Junior International Trials held last April, five Massachusetts Juniors are now off to Canada to compete in the 2012 Pan American Junior Badminton Championships.  Notable among them is Alan Shekhtman of Maugus who made it to the USA Team that will compete in the Team Event for both the Pan Am and the World (in Chiba, Japan) Junior Badminton Championships.  The five MA juniors competing in the individual events are:

Massachusetts Juniors Show their strength in 2012 US Junior Nationals

The juniors hail from three major training centers: Marblehead Youth Badminton (MYB), Maugus Club and Boston Badminton (Bosbad).  We congratulate all three centers for successfully training juniors who are competitive at the national level, bringing Massachusetts more medals than any state in the East Coast.  These juniors include:

Tuesday Intermediate Class to Continue through the Summer

SUMMER CAMPS JUL 16-AUG 24

Improve your badminton skills with fun training and play during summer.  Weeklong badminton camps with Coaches Andy Chong and Pashupati Paneru are scheduled from Jul 16 to Aug 24.  9:30 am-12 noon,  1:30 - 4 pm.  Choice of whole day or half day sessions.  Adults welcome.  For information and registration form, click here.
