2016 MASSBAD TEAM DOUBLES TOURNAMENT UPDATE: A RECORD 35 PARTICIPATING TEAMS

On the 10th anniversary of the Team Doubles Tournament, Massbad recognized the contribution of Tom Yang with an Outstanding Service Award plaque.  With exceptional vision, organizational ability, persistence and energy, Tom Yang established a firm foundation on which the Massbad Team Doubles Tournaments would thrive and grow to become the premier state team competition in the United States for badminton athletes of all levels.
Also, on the 10th anniversary, Massbad offered awards and prizes valued at over $4500 to winners, thanks in part to YONEX sponsorship of the tournament.  The 35 participating teams was a huge leap from past records of 26 teams, definitely a new record!  The winners are:

35 TEAMS TO COMPETE IN THE MASSBAD YONEX TEAM DOUBLES TOURNEY- CLUB IS CLOSED ON MAR 13,19,20

Three Division A teams will compete on Sat, Mar 12 at 9 to 12:30 pm.  Watch top players in the Region compete.  Matches include MD Ajit U/Pashupati P vs. Andy C/ Chongtian Q and  XD Ajit U/ Nicole F vs Chongtian Q/ Monika S.
Ten Division B teams will compete on Sun, Mar 13 from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm.
The public is welcome to come watch Massachusetts' best compete as teams!
