MASSBAD DOUBLES LEAGUE: DIVISION B UPDATE
EIGHT TEAMS TO COMPETE IN THE MAR 2 MASSBAD DOUBLES LEAGUE DIVISION B EVENT; ALL TRAINING CLASSES WILL BE HELD AS USUAL; OTHER COURTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS AND GUESTS
We are happy to announce that eight teams have entered for the 2013 Massbad Doubles League B level competitions:

Boston Express – Wen Chern
Chicken Curry - Kevin Yang
New Mount 1- Ben Ye
New Mount 2- Nan Zhang

It is exciting to see such a good collection of players and teams assembling for competition that promises to be close and much fun! From the rosters presented, we can see that there is no clear distinction in level of play amongst the teams and have decided that the best format will be to create 2 groups of 4 teams each for round robin play; the top 2 teams of each group will then meet (#1A vs #2B ; #1B vs #2A) to play for 1st through 4th in what we will call B1. Similarly, the 3/4 teams of each group will play for 1st through 4th of B2. All competition will take place at Boston Badminton on Saturday, Mar 2 with the following schedule:
8:30-11 am RR1
11-1:30 pm RR2
1:30-4 pm RR3
5-7 pm Semi Finals
7-9 pm Finals, 3/4
An open and random draw will be conducted on Wed, Feb 27 at 7:30 pm at Boston Badminton, using two constraints: 1) two teams perceived to be the strongest from Boston Badminton shall be drawn to separate pools 2) two team perceived to be the strongest from Maugus Club shall be drawn to separate pools.
